Math MCAS

The math portion of the third grade MCAS test will be administered next week. Attendance and punctuality are critical during this time. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter.

The MCAS schedule will be as follows:

May 13           Session 1

May 14           Session 2

 The students have completed some practice questions and open response questions to help them prepare for the test. My goals are for the children to be comfortable with the test format and reduce anxiety to help the students do their best. Since the children have completed the ELA MCAS and know what to expect, they tend to be less nervous.

Homework will note be assigned the nights prior to MCAS administration.Students should do the required 15 minutes of reading each night and are encouraged to do more if they are interested. There will not be a spelling test the week of math MCAS.   

Students should remember to get plenty of sleep each night and eat a good breakfast in the morning. J
