Welcome Back!

The first day of school is next Wednesday! The summer went by really fast, but I enjoyed every minute of it. This summer I read many books, went to the beach and spent a week in Maine. I also took a course on teaching mental math strategies and will continue with a blogging course throughout the year. The best part of the summer was getting to spend lots of time with my family and friends.

This was my beautiful view in Maine. I loved swimming with my niece and reading by the peaceful lake!

I am looking forward to the new school year. We will start the year learning about plants, place value and writing personal narratives.  We will also jump right into reading and start discovering wonderful books and and authors.

I can't wait to see all my new third graders on September 3rd. Remember to bring a nut free snack and your school supplies.  I love teaching third grade and this year is going to be so much fun!
