What's your favorite book?

This year we will be writing book recommendations. In class today, we discussed that good readers recommend books to others. I also shared that I have discovered some of my favorite books because of a friend’s recommendation.

For homework Monday night, students should leave a comment below about a favorite book. The comment should include the title of the book and the reason that they are recommending it. The students should post their comment by October 20th.

I also challenged the students to ask friends and family to leave a comment about a favorite book they enjoyed when they were in third grade. We are hoping to discover some new books and spread the love of reading!

My book recommendation is Judy Moody And The Good Luck Charm. I picked this book because I like the main character and her story. The story is about a girl who found a penny on the sidewalk and afterwards believed it was lucky. She kept it in her pocket but all through the story, she would keep losing it. This book was hysterical! I read it and I think you should read it to.
